My guess of how the LLM space will implode and be reborn. In 32 Months Open AI will collapse and be acquired by Microsoft. Anthropic will be acquired some where along that timeline probably by Amazon. The companies that build tooling for LLM's will be very successful because it turns out simulated reasoning doesn't work very well for business use cases. So we go back to building level 1/2 agents, using tooling to guide the prompts. Prompt Engineers win this round. Mistral is adopted by all the EU as their foundation model and other models made illegal in the name of AI safety. Knowing Canadian business, Cohere will probably just run its course as a sustainable business. The price per token will jump 100x to recoup all the loss leading.
