Iceland’s cricketers – all immigrants – want to launch women’s cricket, junior cricket, and to play international games. The ICC won’t give them any funding at all (or support of any kind) so they need our help.
Can you help? We are going to do things differently and try to become the first ever crowdfunded Associate Member of the ICC. @ICC won't help us so we will use fan power. See more: All donations gratefully received. Please share this post if you can.

@SomersetGrockle Dickson, in the post-match interview, indicated they’d more or less decided from the outset that Leach wouldn’t bowl, except if there were two right-handers in.

What a good idea. And the neutral venue could be Bristol, which would work well for both teams and their supporters.
If the Royal London Cup Final is rained off today and tomorrow, surely the organisers should play it during the first six weeks of next season. Sharing a trophy doesn’t get anyone anywhere! When you look back at your career it’s about medals you’ve won not medals you’ve shared 🏏

@edwardbcooper69 @EdBevanCricket @RDBCroft10 @onedaycup @SophiaGardens It may be heresy to suggest this, but how about Bristol?

@antgib @SomersetCCC @bbcbristolsport If only Somerset had, say, an off-spinner who bowls really well at left-handers.

@ashutosh758 @icelandcricket We used it once, and the batter’s reaction on having “not out” overturned earned him a lengthy ban.

Wonderful to see Syd Lawrence with Gloucestershire’s trophy. It’ll be a pity if Somerset come second in everything — but this picture suggests the Blast was worth losing. #GoGlos

Losing semi-finalist team: 223 England caps, Hundred franchise, professional women’s team, Test match ground. Champion team: 3 England caps, and one rained-off late-autumn international game per year. Hats off to them. #GoGlos

Easy. It’s Víðistaðatún, owned by Hafnarfjörður town council in Iceland.
Musing—there are lots of beautiful UK cricket grounds, but which is the most attractive council pitch? (One for @WG_RumblePants, perhaps)

Further entertainment from the Worcestershire PA: “Tea and cakes will be available in the Ladies’ Pavilion from half past two, but not a second earlier. Those who arrive early will be punished by being locked in a small room with Kevin Pietersen”. #WORvWAR
