@itsolelehmann You do not discuss the impact of US having a home market and a defence based economy just like China. Europe is a market across multiple nations with own cultures and languages. It is not routed in defence. Analyse the reality?

It is more probable Humanity will bioengineer itself to be more able to survive on lonely cold, dull planets or moons in our Solar System while we wait for someone to crack lightspeed travel. If not it’s all meaningless anyway and it’s be AI that go.
