soft hurt/comfort
After midnight, in the quietude of his dimly lit room, Kiyoomi closes his eyes and whispers “I love you.”
It’s not directed at anyone. He’s not thinking of a long-lost lover, or a sweet summer crush, or a childhood friend. He just says it.
#sakuatsu
a/b/o, unconventional courting, breaking tradition
Blossom Academy is the most prestigious boarding school for omegas in the country, where students are thoroughly prepared to become perfect partners for their future alphas.
Atsumu hates it.

🔮✨
Atsumu has always been very interested in all things mystical. He had his cards read for the first time at a fair when he was 15, he got his natal chart done 2 years later, and he started delving into tea leaf divination shortly after.

cw: slight nsfw, prey/predator dynamics discussed
Foxes are predators. That is a fact.
And, as such, Atsumu is expected to be dominant, powerful, ferocious. But he isn’t. Or rather, he doesn’t want to be.

acespec Sakusa Kiyoomi, nsfw themes discussed
Kiyoomi loves making out. He takes great pleasure in the feeling of his lips getting wet and soft against his boyfriend's, in the little bites between kisses, the way his breath hitches and his cheeks catch fire.

thought 🌸
Atsumu staying over at Kiyoomi’s for the first time, when they're not even dating yet, and he's so excited to explore the space that his crush calls his.
it makes me feel very weird when something bad happens in the fandom and a lot of people immediately jump in making comments like "it's always the skts people" or "of course it's a haikyuu stan", like... huh?? I genuinely don't understand what that has to do with anything
#sakuatsu
fluff
Atsumu always carries a pocket mirror in his bag. It’s kind of an unusual mirror, actually, too small to be practical. It’s so tiny he had to attach a chain to it to make sure it didn’t get lost, which makes it look a little bit like a locket when it’s closed.
During his stay in the Sunny, Law asks if there's anywhere in the ship where he won't be heard.
This raises suspicion among some of the Straw Hats, but they still direct him to one of the farthest rooms within the living area.
angsty hc of the day: Law's room in the Polar Tang is soundproof because his nightmares are so bad he often screams in his sleep, and he doesn't want to disturb his crew

short fluff 💜
After one of his very first dates with Kiyoomi, Atsumu gets home and lays on his bed without even taking his clothes off. He closes his eyes and sighs with a full chest, feeling his whole body float, as if sleeping on a cloud.
I think Sabo would actually like Law and approve of him as a good boyfriend for Luffy, but he'd have some fun terrorizing him a bit at first, just because he can.
"If you're serious about Luffy, I'm going to need you to submit a detailed resume and a cover letter. Thank you."

short hurt/comfort, cw: depression and other mental health related struggles
Sakusa Kiyoomi likes things clean and organized.
And, because of that, he is more than happy to help Atsumu take care of himself when he can't do it on his own.
I feel like lulaw's relationship could be confusing to outsiders. They'd see Law act all exasperated arguing with Luffy, and they'd be like "man, I'm sorry you have to deal with that jerk"
And Law's answer would be "eXcuSE mE?!!1 that's my husband you're talking about"
We joke a lot about Luffy calling Law his friend, but actually it goes beyond that.
Luffy makes a personal, very clear distinction between "nakama" (companions, friends who are part of his crew or inner circle) and "tomodachi" (regular friends, people he likes).
AU where young surgeon Law gets in trouble somehow, so he gets sent to a small village in the mountains to work as a family doctor.
At first, he hates it. He'd swear there's only like 20 people living there, but they're all so nosey and ill-mannered that Law can barely stand it.
“I love you,” he whispers one last time, almost inaudibly, looking directly into Atsumu’s eyes.
Maybe those words will have a tangible receiver from now on. Maybe Kiyoomi will be thinking of someone when he pronounces them next time.
/end.
lulaw where there's a rumour that a very powerful captain in the New World is courting Trafalgar Law.
Luffy is seething. Who the hell is it?* As soon as he finds out, they'll be his next target, they better prepare!
(*) He has no idea the rumours are talking about him.
We don't talk enough about how Luffy didn't even think twice to leave the Colosseum and go rescue Law.
It's not insignificant. The competition was very important to him, Ace's fruit was on the line. The thought that a stranger could win it was very distressing for him (1/3)
Fanfiction is for free, you don't have the right to complain about a service you haven't paid for. Even if it was shared with you, it wasn't written for you.
This is not about authors "only wanting readers to tell us what we want to hear," it's about boundaries and respect (+)
lulaw a/b/o AU where young Law gets sent to an all-omega boarding school, to "refine his manners" and "become a dutiful and respectable wife for his future alpha."

The first time Sakusa Kiyoomi saw Miya Atsumu, he was 15 years old. Contrary to what one might think, it was not a magical moment. Time did not stand still, the world wasn’t suddenly filled with bright colors, there was no revelation at all.
“Yes,” he quietly answers at last, his mouth almost meeting Kiyoomi's in the process. “Yes, I think I can do that.”
A self-fulfilled prophecy, a long-awaited promise sealed with a kiss.
// end.
"Of course I will, you idiot!" he cried. "As if I could reject you again after that! I should punch you in the face!"
Kiyoomi laughed and ran his fingers through his now fiancé's hair.
"Yeah, yeah. I love you too."
Hi, this is getting a lot more attention than I thought it would and seeing so many people get discouraged is affecting me more too 🥹 so I'm going to mute this, sorry if I don't respond! If you want me to see something specifically, please dm 🌸

College professor Sakusa Kiyoomi, one of the most prestigious and well-respected voices in his academic field, and young PhD student Miya Atsumu, who looks up to Sakusa and thinks of him as some kind of celebrity.
What could possibly happen between them? 👁
Listen, you can't start an arc by having the narrator say "this is the country of love and passion, Dressrosa," and then make it all about Law and Luffy's relationship.
Like.
Come on.
At least be subtle.

lulaw arranged marriage AU, but it's not them who are supposed to marry 👀
Monkey D. Luffy, the youngest grandson of the King of Goa, is about to get engaged to Princess Lami of Flevance.
SO EVEN IF WE JOKE ABOUT THE LACK OF CANON SKTS CONTENT, THAT IS PRECISELY WHAT MAKES THE SHIP SO INTERESTING, BECAUSE IT LEAVES AN OPEN GATE FOR ENDLESS INTERPRETATION, IT'S ALL ABOUT CO-AUTHORIAL INTENT, YOU SEE, FANFICTION IS SO IMPORTANT FOR LITERARY THEORY TODAY BECAUSE—
I actually cannot understand people who genuinely believe Luffy is stupid. Thinking outside the box is his whole thing.
If you pay attention, many of his techniques and decisions he takes during fights are very clever. They just look silly from the outside.
They made it to the center of the garden in silence. The bustle of the party was only a distant noise now, and Kiyoomi's face had an enchanting aura around it, with the night sky casting blue shadows on his skin.
Atsumu had to stop him while he was still sensible enough.

In which junior editor Sakusa Kiyoomi gets forced to work with critically acclaimed author Miya Atsumu, known in the publishing industry for his difficult attitude. Will they be able to sort out their differences?
Besides, what makes you think you're even qualified to give criticism? Unless you're a professional (which most readers aren't), your viewpoint is not more valid than anyone else's. And you might actually be hindering the author's work with misguided observations (+)
He let himself crash into Kiyoomi's arms and held him tightly, feeling both their heartbeats ringing inside his ears.
"You're so fucking stupid," Atsumu sobbed.
"Okay, whatever you say, but will you marry me or not?"
The weep that came out Atsumu's mouth was mortifying.
The playlist, full of heartfelt love songs and nothing more, is titled "Atsumu."
Maybe this little adventure is giving him a bit more information than Atsumu initially anticipated.
/end?
He likes the way the words feel in his mouth. The sound they make when released into the world. The unrecognizable tone his voice acquires when pronouncing them.
“So let me be your one big love, then,” he whispers. “You might not get a second chance with someone else, but I promise you… I promise you, if you fuck up, you will get a second chance with me. And then another one, and another one after that. As many as you need.”
“I love you, I love you,” he says, and buries his face in the pillow, feeling his own breath hot against his skin.
Some nights, he keeps on mumbling sweet nothings until he falls asleep. And it’s not unusual for him to wake up with dried tears in his cheeks in the morning.
"Miya Atsumu, pleased to meet you," he said.
"Oh? I think I've heard a thing or two about you," Sakusa noted with a sublte smirk.
"Horrifying things, I hope."
"Correct."
Still holding the handshake, they both chuckled as if they were sharing some kind of private joke.
Im bored so let's do something artists,
What is a drawing you think you're iconic for? and let people reply to you what drawing they think you are iconic for
"But I am!" Atsumu snapped, his voice cracking at the end. "I am serious, I can't let this happen! I love you too much to ruin your life so carelessly!"
He didn't know when he had started crying, but his cheeks were wet now, and his throat was achy.
It's not surprising that people who are new in this fandom don't expect lulawlu to be a controversial ship. Because it makes absolutely no sense. It's the most vanilla ship ever.
Even antis know this, because they consistently make clarifications like "DNI proship + lawlu"
"Don't you understand, Atsumu?" he whispered. "Don't you see I'm not interested in having a perfectly pristine life if you're not in it? That I'd rather drown in a puddle of mud if that means I get you?"
Atsumu couldn't keep fighting. Not after that, he wasn't that strong.
“What am I even crying about?” he wonders. “I’m fine.”
He really is fine. He has nothing to cry about, his life is simple enough. His job is enjoyable, his bed is comfortable, he has people who appreciate him, and people he appreciates too.
He hates how his teachers scold him for not sitting properly, how everyone looks at him weird for laughing too loud, how he's forced to take useless lessons on tea service and other ridiculous tasks.
But above all else, he hates the dinner parties.
"How can you not see it?" he continued, now softly, almost pleading. "You'll regret this eventually. You might think I'm fun now, but you'll get tired of dealing with the consequences of an unfavourable marriage, and you'll resent me for it."
And he wasn't stupid, he noticed the way Kiyoomi had started looking at him too. It was a dangerous game. He knew they were playing with fire, and Kiyoomi was the one who would get burnt if they took it too far.
A promising young alpha, fooling around with some vulgar omega?
"That's easy for you to say!" he snarled. "You have Sunarin waiting for you back home, it's almost as if you were already married to him, you're set for life!"
Osamu looked like he wanted to punch him, though the red blush that painted his cheeks softened his face a little bit.
"Don't be a baby, come on," the alpha cut him, with a hint of urgency in his voice. "There's... I have something to tell you, and I'd rather do it in private."
There it was. Pink cheeks, shiny eyes, fidgety hands. He was going to do it. But was Atsumu selfish enough to let him?
"Listen, Tsumu, you don't have to actually believe in any of this," he told his twin. "Just pretend you do until we graduate, then we'll both forget about these stupid parties and marry someone that actually likes us for who we are."
Atsumu scoffed.
Kiyoomi raised an eyebrow and crossed his arms over his chest, skeptical.
"Yeah, okay, now tell me the real reason," he said.
Fuck.
"I'm afraid you already know the real reason," Atsumu mumbled, eyes fixed on the ground.
Furudate HAD to know what they were doing when they created Sakusa Kiyoomi. Why else woud they give him those moles?
The only other 2 people with moles in hq are main(ish) characters and one of them is basically described as the hottest woman alive. That can't be a coincidence.
It's disgusting. It's artificial and degrading, and Atsumu wants nothing to do with it.
Luckily for him, no alpha wants to court Atsumu. He's a rowdy omega—ungracious, loud, aggressive... To say he doesn't have a good reputation would be kind of an understatement.
Oh.
Well, that was unexpected.
"Ah," Atsumu mouthed awkwardly. "I- um, actually, I feel the same way. I hate these events, they're so... the only good thing about them is the free food, but not even that is enough to make up for the absolute waste of time."
"Wanna sit by the window and laugh at all these idiots?" Atsumu offered.
Sakusa let out a snort.
"Sure, why not?" he agreed. "They're all terrible at dancing, and even worse at courting, so I'm sure it will be quite an entertaining show."
"Then just say yes!" Kiyoomi cried out in desperation. "Atsumu, there is nothing to-"
"Stop. You're just hurting both of us."
"What the fuck are you even talking about? Why are you making this so difficult when it's so easy?"
"I don't love you."
He doesn't have the energy to keep fighting it. He's tired, so very tired. And part of his brain is warning him that he'll regret this moment of weakness in the morning, but his body is telling it to shut up and close his eyes.
So he does.
//end?
And yet, there’s that strange weight inside his chest that seems to get heavier every night. Kiyoomi would like to know where it comes from, or how to make it go away. But for some reason, the only thing he can do when he feels the thickness grow is repeating those words.
A dark-haired man was standing beside him. He was the perfect picture of an ideal alpha: tall, serious, distinguished, uptight posture, severe eyes, impeccable black suit.
Atsumu wanted to look away—whoever this guy was, he seemed exactly like the kind he'd rather avoid.
"Did you want somehting?" the man spoke, almost startling Atsumu.
"Huh? No! Why- what would I even want from you?" Atsumu squeaked.
"I don't know, you've been staring at me for a while now. Perhaps you were expecting me to ask you to dance."
Atsumu grimaced.
