We were proud to showcase the best of our city! Our city staff make our lives better everyday, and we wanted to honor them and all those who make Columbia a better place to live and work.
Something small I noticed today. Being from Boston I’ve seen plenty of championship parades but I’ve never seen a trash truck in one before. Don’t know the specific reasons why they were in it but seeing the pure joy on their faces while driving down Main Street was awesome.

Our community is saddened by this senseless shooting and the pain it caused to innocent bystanders. Our focus is on getting them treatment right now and on being supportive of the multiple law enforcement agencies working together to bring these criminals to justice.

Everybody in our city has experienced the disruption of being stuck behind a train and it’s limited our city’s ability to grow and be connected. Eliminating these in-town railroad crossings will help get Columbia back on track.
State and local politicians are working together to end a decades-long headache for Columbia drivers by finally eliminating railroad crossings that block traffic across town.

Richard this is a not a viable adaptive reuse project.. nostalgic is not historic..let's come up with something that benefits all citizens and visitors

Kinda thought the City had moved beyond demo’ing old structures with ties to its past? If this one comes down, it should only come down after there’s a viable and funded development project ready to go back. One persons “can’t make it work” is another’s persons vision statement.
