I have been there. The conservation agent introduced an Asian couple on our boat on the way to the memorial. He was a Japanese pilot during WWII and was one who bombed Pearl Harbor. He and his wife came at least once a year to lay flowers and pray. They both cried. War is Hell.

My father was a railway postal clerk for 29 years. He took great pride in his job. Was tested twice a year on his “casings.” He only missed 3 out of 5800. Received a letter from the president. He would be so upset. Also a navy vet-WWII. I was very proud of him.

💛 I was a freshman in HS. He was a senior and along with his buddies, picked on several of us. After my 1st yr of college, where I grew and bulked up, I passed him on the street. I said hi John. He said hi and looked away. No need to say more. He knew.

As a retired teacher, principal, and school board member, I have worked in 7 districts in 2 states. I can’t defend or speak for every district in the US. I am also a parent and grandpa. The blind partisanship, racism, and hate starts at home. Hard to change that in 50 min. a day.
