Cal’s brand is terrible at the moment. But let’s be real they have more starting QBs in the NFL than any XII team at the moment. They have more potential than any school not named Stanford.

It’s amazing to see so many people analyze Colorado’s 2022 performance and roster without having seen the disaster that was last season.
And try to spin the attrition as a bad thing. Seriously crazy stuff you only see on Twitter.
By my count, Colorado's now lost all 4 QBs who threw >20 passes, 3 of 5 RBs, all 9 players targeted >8 times, 5 of 8 OLs and 7 of 8 DLs with >100 snaps, all 4 LBs with >200 snaps, and 12 of 17 DBs with ANY snaps.
Obviously added like one jillion transfers, too, but GOOD GOD.

The biggest question is does the 2nd seed in the Big 12 and ACC get in over the 4th seed in the Big Ten and SEC. If not then the Big 12 and ACC are basically 1 bid conferences.
This is really the only mystery still surrounding this format.

1 bid / 16 B12 schools = 6% CFP odds
267% better chance at making the CFP in the Big Ten than the Big 12. Destroys the sport. So many better solutions than this.

Have to use a different approach. Four CC pickups, Kent State… it didn’t work. Obviously they were banking on the Lewis, O’Boyle & Kent St OL connection paying off. It wasn’t good enough. I don’t see BOB bringing in SEC OLs so he’s likely out.

“Phil” is Phil DiStephano, the outgoing chancellor at Colorado. The primary reason why CU fell off before Prime. Wouldn’t invest in a real coach for 10+ yrs (Embree, MacIntyre, Dorrell) and restricted transfers until Prime changed it.

The ranking seems like an old narrative to me. Yes we went 4-8 but so did UW. Stanford went 3-9. UA was 1-11. Give me a break.
The media doesn’t follow that we have a new OC, OL, TE and WR coach. Lot of talent. I think we outperform expectations.

Love it. As anyone who’s watched CU in 2022 - and I saw every play - the former staff did a “check with me” offense where the center didn’t snap the ball until the play clock was at 5s or less. Every snap! It was awful. Can’t wait to see this change.

Oregon’s 46pt loss to Georgia was UGA’s the 3rd biggest win in 2022. So no, they didn’t do that to everyone.
It was a bad game for CU but it doesn’t change that people are rooting for the Buffs. CU has attracted fans that haven’t cared about CFB. Can’t say the same for UO.
