That Embiid MVP historically is going to look so odd. It’s gonna seem out of no where in this Jokic run. Kids 25 years from now are going to be asking what the hell happened?
Anthony Edwards threw a chair and hit fans last year and Joel Embiid literally injured an opposing player this postseason and neither were suspended.
What are we doing here?
An anonymous executive says Adam Silver chose TV ratings over player and referee safety after deciding not to suspend Jamal Murray
“We all know what’s going on here. And it’s a bad look. This was about protecting the TV audience for the next game — or games.”

Nikola Jokic has turned the city of Denver into a bonafide basketball town. His impact on this city will ultimately rival Elway's. Not sure there's even the words to describe what it's like to be in this city right now with him on this run.
The Western Conference is set to have the dominant teams of the next 5+ years be:
Denver
Minnesota
& Oklahoma City
Eat your vegetables Adam Silver. Welcome to the mid-market era of the NBA.
I'm VERY serious. Do not come to the Bar if you're gonna root for the Lakers. There's eleventy-five bars in Denver where you can root for the Lakers. The DNVR Bar is not one of them.
Michael Porter Jr has been Denver's most CONSISTENT player this series.
Absolutely unreal given everything going on in his personal life. What an incredible rise in this moment.
@saiyansurvive
Injuries and the ability to stay healthy are MASSIVE part of how valuable you are and have always been. Embiid is also a historic playoff shrinker and Jokic is a historic playoff riser. Their legacies will not be close making the discourse of the past few years seem absurd.
This man is is nearly 40 years old, speaks nothing like this, is college educated, freely democratically elected, and has been working in politics for over a decade. Just say you're a racist man.
reporters: so how exactly did that bridge in baltimore collapse?
baltimore mayor:
sheeeeit how’s i sposeta know shit just just go brappp like dafuqqqq?
I keep seeing people say "The West is wide open" and it's just not true. The only reason Denver is not an overwhelming favorite is because they're the Denver Nuggets.
Jokic leads all players in points, rebounds and assists in the 2023 playoffs 📈
If it holds, he would be the first player in NBA history to lead in all three for a full postseason 😳
This narrative is tired and lazy and perpetuated by people who pay no attention to Jokic and the Nuggets and it just sucks and isn't funny anymore. He loves this city and he loves the sport of basketball.
Why can’t people just admit that the Rocky Mountain region is its own thing.
It’s CO, WY, UT, ID, MT, and we’re just our own thing. There isn’t a ton of us - it’s mostly mountains & high elevation deserts. We like it that way.
Look I didn't get to watch Michael Jordan in real time so I don't really know. But I grew up in LeBron's prime and Nikola Jokic is the best basketball player I've ever watched.
Some quick Broncos thoughts:
-Bring back Bobby Massie please. He's been the most stable right tackle we've had in YEARS - borderline pro bowler this year.
-Bring back Melvin on a 2-3 year deal again. This RB duo has the chance to be SPECIAL special.
-EXTEND KENNY YOUNG.
Everything went the Heats way and the Nuggets lost by one possession. Stop with the doom-and-gloom please. It's the Finals it's not supposed to be easy. The Heat are here for a reason.
We've basically had Avs or Nuggets every night for 2 and a half months and then in 24 hours that came to a screeching halt.
This week feels... weird. Like slamming on the breaks going 120 mph.
The best game of Michael Porter Jr's career and I don't care what his final line is. He's done EVERYTHING that contributes to winning basketball today.
The Nuggets are ONE game behind where they were at last year.
They have played the most road games in the entire NBA.
They are playing without 2 Max players, and several key rotation players.
Take a deep breath Nuggets Nation. They will be fine.
Jokic led the team to a
#1
seed, nearly averaged a triple double in the most efficient high volume scoring season ever, and is gonna finish 3rd in voting. If anyone ever tells you voter fatigue isn't real...
We might just all be trying everything in our powers to ignore the obvious fact right in front of our faces because it seems too good to be true.
Nikola Jokic is the best basketball player to ever play.
Here is Aaron Gordon's whole answer to
@katywinge
's question about his mental health and process. Really great stuff here from AG. I encourage you to watch the whole thing.
A year ago I got cheated on and had my engagement broken. Been the hardest year of my life, but I've grown more than I ever have in my life. A lot of people on this app are the reason I got through it. Thank you. From the bottom of my heart.
I honestly don't care what Nick Wright has to say about Jokic, but being anti-denver as a national media guy is just SUCH a weird brand. Like we're a pretty chill city, you should come check it out sometime.
I need to know who is watching these shows. I have never met a single human being that watches Young Sheldon as part of their television consumption habits.
Pop up portrait session by the new Nuggets Mural on Colfax & Race at 2 PM. Bring your Nuggets gear. And get a portrait with the new mural just in time for the finals.
Jokic has quietly
- Gotten himself more rest than usual
- Gotten Jamal going
- Gotten MPJ going
- Positioned the Nuggets to get a top 2 seed
Just in utter control of the SEASON the same way he controls a game. Playing the long game like I've never seen right now.
Here’s the facts for the haters: The Nuggets aren’t going anywhere. This core is locked up. They’re likely the 1 seed again next year. Get used to this.
While I agree with everything you’re saying here you yourself openly admitted *last season* to not having watched the 2x MVP before the finals last year. You’re speaking from shaky ground when you have admitted to not being properly educated on the sport you cover.
Shocked. Disappointed. Disgusted. What we heard today called all sideline reporters into question. My job is an honor, a privilege and a craft at which I have worked so hard…

Welcome to today's episode of 'ANYONE BUT JOKIC'
On today's episode, we talk about a player who's averaging less than 20 points per game because he's not named Nikola Jokic.
If Jokic wins a title this year everything is on the table and I mean EVERYTHING. 4 straight MVPs. Greatest in a generation conversations. All of it. Gotta win it this year though.
This is all super sad tbh. MPJ gave one of his best availability’s ever recently glowing about his brother after a great game with the Nuggets. Couldn’t stop waxing poetic about his brother’s future. Can’t imagine where he’s at right now.
