Good paper/concerns. Is anyone saying ecod minimises cognitive aspects of skill acq? Doesn’t make sense! Imagery, +ve self talk, SDT, AGT etc all useful from cognitive psychology, but meaningless when disaggregated from the way the individual relates to environmental forces.
Take a look at this. Critical thoughts around some concerns with the heavily promoted approach of Ecological Dynamics and associated ideas as THE approach for coaching

@JonMackey14 @kestrelpsych Why take things that exist in the ecology out of the system? Organisms are motivated, tasks motivating and motivational environments exist. Would be a great area of study. We do process and we have a CNS, but none of these things on their own account for skilled movement.
