@HealthPsychJobs we have a great band 7 job just come out. I would encourage health psychs as well as clin psychs to apply despite the wording. Wirral based chronic pain service. I’m the 8b, and the team is honestly the best I’ve ever worked with.

@drchatterjeeuk hi, I’ve just finished your podcast on chronic pain. It is everything we tell our patients in our pain service (NHS, England). Wondering why no mention of services across the country like mine that patients and GPs have access to. We’re doing outstanding work!

This was my favourite bit of today @WUTHstaff @WUTHnhs - going to take this into my team and continue our conversations about where we can make improvements with the help of our Improvement Team!

@AldiUK Imagine if Colin didn’t win and then didn’t show up on stage. Eaten by the supporters.

@keith_campion My daughter’s last parents evening was a barrage of “she needs to speak up more”, until we finally got to her science teacher who is also SENCO. He made me cry….”don’t let others tell you that you’re not speaking up enough. You are enough as you are. Don’t change”.

So glad to see so many supporters of London Pride today, including @mssociety who do vital work for those living with multiple sclerosis. I gave you an extra few cheers - well done all! #londonpride #WeAreEverywhere #Pride2024

@PeterHuart @implausibleblog Yes, looking at the reasons why we need more money in the NHS is important. Per person it costs more because more people living with poor health. I’d argue we need to go a step back and look at WHY more people have unhealthy lifestyles and fix that.

@guardiannews @johnnytimpson1 I work in a chronic pain service in the NHS. I thank you for taking a stand on behalf of all people affected by this. The patients that access my service are being battered left right and centre at the moment and need someone to advocate loudly for them.

Had a great 2 hours talking about all things pain and fibromyalgia with the clinical psychologists @cwpnhs in Wirral. Such interesting conversations and sharing of clinical experience. @WUTHnhs #chronicpain #NHS

@WUTHnhs Ah great! We’re keen to get the therapy dogs into the pain management programme for our WUTH chronic pain patients. Who do we speak to so we can arrange this?

Love this description. I’ve had so many conversations where people are damaged and further traumatised by this view put onto them by powerful others.
Anything that f*cks w/ your adrenal responses, sleep cycles, immune system, appetite, digestive processes, & experience of physical pain & temperature as much as trauma & dissociation do is decidedly not "all in your head."

I am always up for freebies but the amount of chocolate the @wuthcharity lady passed on might be a bit excessive. Luckily I can share with today’s patients and the rest of the team 😊 also our lovely pocket hugs made by one of our patients 💜

@FleurTaylor121 @Rod__Mason @wesstreeting Staff off sick, long term vacancies - leading to locums who are paid much more than substantive staff, leaching money.

@DrRoyBailey @vicderbyshire We will have stories like this all over the country. The most vulnerable are being abused and I would say Alexis was right - some of the treatment would be considered torture. It’s not caring or compassionate.

@shaksper I thought the exact same. I sat up, I listened intently and I got goosebumps. People like Alexis are the people who shoukd be setting the policies and agendas for change. What an amazingly good interview this was.

@DrDoyleSays I agree - it also leads to a passive approach to medical care, which leads to a lack of proper informed consent further perpetuating the trauma.

@Helen_biochem @drphilhammond My mum spent last week in hospital with my brother who has pneumonia. Surprise surprise, she’s now been admitted with pneumonia. I visited my mum last week, now off sick from work (NHS). I can’t visit my mum due to being ill. Patients packed together in a hot, unventilated space.
