And more improvements, helping people find where their appointment is (as were across two corridors). Please check your letter for information about who you are seeing, and consult the board when no clerk in the cubby hole!

Busy day yesterday making more improvements to our clinical environment. We spent some of our non-clinical time getting the pain clinic waiting room moved and spruced up. Blu-tack under our nails for days! @WUTHnhs @WUTH_Therapies

It was great to have @WirralWays_CGL visit us today. A great presentation, interesting discussions and future planning working together to support people with chronic pain in navigating their medication options.

Elm house is never a boring place to work. We need to name the bunny that took up residence outside our window last week!

Please please please have your say on this. It takes about 20 mins - grab a cuppa and get your voice heard. We need those with chronic pain represented.

And here’s another good podcast on the intersectionality of neurodivergence and pain. Sound quality is a struggle at times but it’s worth a listen if this is something you identify with

Great chronic pain podcast. They don’t mention NHS pain services so it’s a bit “why don’t people in pain get this help”. They do! But loads of great information to support what we do here at Wirral chronic pain service @drchatterjeeuk @WUTH_Therapies

This is what we aim to impart on people on our pain management programmes. All emotions are valid and are there to protect us. Give them some time and space to be there.

Thought of the day You don't always have to be positive with CRPS. It's okay to feel angry, sad, frustrated or scared these are normal valid feelings. • • • • • #BNightsCRPS #CRPS #crpsawareness #crpswarrior #crpslife #crpssupport #chronicpain #CRPSisReal

You simply cannot separate psychology from physiology. This ‘practised separation’ is one of reasons the health professions sometimes struggle to help people with chronic pain - and, many other conditions. It’s a new season, and in this brand new episode of my podcast ‘Feel Better, Live More,’ my guest @PeteOSullivanPT and I had a fascinating conversation about pain management in our healthcare system and how physiology and psychology are fundamentally intertwined. Peter highlights the important role that emotions and psychology play in managing and treating pain, rather the often purely mechanical approach that is often taken by some clinicians. Listen to our conversation in full here or enjoy wherever you get your podcasts.
