The word legend is overused but Stan was one. Met him a few times over the years, always the perfect gent. Even now, decades after he’d finished playing Rangers fans go misty eyed talking about him. One of the truly great characters of the game. RIP to the legend Stan Bowles. ❤️

Mate, I grew up in West London. Britain to me is cricket, a ruby on a Saturday night, walking down Portobello market with a dub sound system thumping from one of the stalls, it’s pie ‘n’ mash, fish and chips, Buckingham Palace and youth sub culture. It’s ain’t colour mate.
