It’s baffling to me that there are so many people in this world who would rather be cruel than have people fed, have people safe, and give people access to what they need.
This is devastating. A woman in the UK has been feeding people in her community, then yesterday she discovered that someone salted her land so she can’t grow food anymore.

officially let my clients know I'm going fully remote in July - I knew there would be some I would have to part ways w/ bc they don't want virtual sessions but I'm already emo about it🥲 I'm doing what's best for me but I have real relationships w/ my clients and goodbyes r hard

That TikTok is going around about the assoc therapist who said unhinged things ab what makes her a "good" therapist and I wish ppl would stop obsessing over her credentials - assoc therapists ARE therapists

Listening is an art. I’m not talking about listening to respond either.
Listening to understand is hard.
Therapists, we pay so many thousands of dollars to learn how to better listen. This is a simplification, but also the emphasis.
So if we ever feel like “All I did in that session was listen.” Celebrate that.

Really disappointed in Asbury, but not surprised. In my experience, they have never been and will never be a place of inclusivity, open mindedness, or genuine compassion. My time there was only worth it due to the few profs and friends who deeply loved me and believed in me.

A prof who accepted LGBT students was fired while those who remain have misused class time to preach their own beliefs, have twitter accounts saying degrading things about women, or have been accused of sexual assault. Sounds opposite of Jesus to me 🤷🏼♀️
