This project started as an essay one random weekend. Never published the essay but now it’ll be a book. An Ode to my best friends. Looking forward to working with @JHUPress to bring it to life.

@ali @SonnieJohnson Somebody needs to be documenting all of these! Setups, staged/coordinated agitators, the media won’t report it.

City council needs to have @centerpoint sit for a hearing and explain why we find ourselves in this situation and what they’re doing to make sure it doesn’t happen again.

lol wait. @LinaHidalgoTX’s entire campaign has been to claim her opponent is an election denier but here she is calling into question the validity of the election before it even happens

.@LinaHidalgoTX has been silent on the day that 3 of her top people are indicted but that doesn’t stop her campaign from asking folks to “rush a contribution”

To my fellow patriots fighting for visibility in a world that wasn’t built for us:. For ages, we’ve met the challenge of spiral notebooks, school desks, sitting next to a righty at dinner. The world may not be built for us but that has yet to stop us #LeftHandersDay

Bmore has its issues but I’m a firm believer that no President should refer to a US city as a “disgusting, rat and rodent infested mess” . Also. since when do we look to Congress ppl to fix our cities? Mayors/Councils will always have more impact on daily lives than Congress folk.
. As proven last week during a Congressional tour, the Border is clean, efficient & well run, just very crowded. Cumming District is a disgusting, rat and rodent infested mess. If he spent more time in Baltimore, maybe he could help clean up this very dangerous & filthy place.

When Houston’s chief adm officer accuses its chief financial officer of pay2play, council should investigate, swiftly, on behalf of taxpayers. OIG and FBI investigations are not public, council’s can be. @JMartinez4Hou <- ethics chair @ChronOpinion

“Houston’s tax rate, which is lower than all of the state’s major cities besides Austin, has led to a loss of $2.2 billion in revenue over the last 10 years…”. No. It has led to savings of $2.2B for taxpayers. Not being able to take more money out of taxpayers’ pockets is not a.
A few players have emerged in Houston's discussions on raising taxes: The mayor's office (that's now presented tax raising paths twice), council members who warn consequences of snubbing a hike, and an audit of city operations. More: via @HoustonChron.

This is why no one can understand their local government. News reports Harris County taxes up 8%, public tax notice says 10.06%, @LinaHidalgoTX yesterday tweets 10.9%, during the meeting @LinaHidalgoTX says 9.53%

20 years since this iconic, earth shattering, life altering, groundbreaking album dropped and changed the music world. Two decades later it’s still being sampled (see: Drake and Cardi B). Sit back and let me tell y’all the story of #TheMiseducationOfLaurynHill #DearMsHill

.@LinaHidalgoTX said the state killing Uplift Harris was cruel, I’d contend it’s more cruel to pursue a program that not only doesn’t work but may actually damage recipients' financial position.

Did you really have your team put together a graphic to show us you want to raise taxes by 13.9%?.
📉 FACT: Harris County's total approved tax rate is lower than before I took office, despite what some may claim. This new rate includes a $10 million investment in the public improvement contingency fund for disaster recovery. The only reason this year's tax rate seems like
