Everyone is invited to "Burgers and Badges" tonight (Thurs., Oct. 17) from 5 to 8 p.m. at Grumps Burgers, 3503 East US Hwy 377, Granbury. For just $12, you can enjoy a burger, chips with ranch, and iced tea—served by a Granbury Police Officer.

Reconstruction of Calinco Dr. begins soon and continues through the end of November, weather permitting. The project will be completed in phases. There will be lane closures, limited street parking, and restricted driveway access during the reconstruction.

Hood County Emergency Sirens sound for only two reasons: a weather warning or an emergency at the Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant near Glen Rose. They are tested at noon on the first and third Monday of each month, except major holidays.
