@bradplumer @OhmConnect controls 250k+ smart devices (tstats, fridges, EVs, etc.) and have adjusted or cycled them more than 40M times. No backlash! Customers can always override and they get rewarded for their participation. Most customers get 50+ events a year.

Rather than subsidizing natural gas interests, it would be cheaper, faster & cleaner to install dispatchable load rather than dispatchable supply. Natgas power plants take many years to build b/c they need to get air pollution permits (for their emissions) & water (for cooling).
