@Reckless_Edit @BloomsburyPub @lucyjanesantos_ @ZahraHankir @reproutopia @alokvmenon @ProfLindaScott @ContraPoints @jenniferbedbaum I haven’t read that in quite some time. I have a horrible feeling that I repeat myself, so don’t dare look.

@PafkoBosh @Leftist_Gamer @SublationMag ‘Mutilating kids’, listen to you. It’s that kind of rhetoric, highly emotive, crude, singular, used to stoke inner most fears and paranoais that neo-Nazis play on. Sounds like you subscribe to fox news. Is this what’s become of you? Is that why you need us? To justify it,

@PafkoBosh @Leftist_Gamer @SublationMag Don’t you see you’re using same tactics as bigots? These images are much like those fascists deploy to whip up support. Such a marginal issue, tiny % of people. Question your investment in this topic. It’s classic moral panic. The world is burning and you’re bothered about this!

@PafkoBosh @Leftist_Gamer @SublationMag If anything, you confirm the point. Clutching at whatever to justify a position. See point in article about Zizek. Same thing here. Interrogate your need for these explanations and why society is so obsessed with this. Did you even read the article and give it serious thought?

@apharrington123 But nonetheless ultimately means making a leap into the unknown. Though, sure, Brexit was pretty much a ‘known, known’ and stupid insofar that the consequences were plain enough to foresee, none of which of benefit to the majority who voted for it. Knowing dupes.

@mckenziewark There was a section in my 2012 book, iCommunism, on the ‘Capitocene’, years before someone else coined the term ‘capitalcene’ to describe exactly the same thing. That grates. You have to really milk a concept in the ‘right’ circles for it to achieve traction

@ButNotTheCity New Zealand is good insofar that hostility is rare and it’s easy to change your sex / gender designation. Speaking from experience, people in general seem pretty relaxed towards trans women. I live in the more affluent central district of Auckland, though.

@apharrington123 One should never underestimate the stupidity of the English electorate and their love for ‘Boris’. He may want to call a snap election. Starmer should run on the promise of electoral reform. Not a second Brexit vote. But do that on entering power.

@MattFlisfeder Giddens, Beck, New materialists, gender critical feminists, terfs, feminists who conflate household labour and exchange value. Some pretty crappy neo-Foucauldians such as Nicholas Rose, a lot of queer theory is pretty ropey, especially stuff that disparages the feminine

@apharrington123 Ironically, that lets the Tories slightly off the hook. Brexit + utter venality + cleavage to neoliberal ideology + incompetence.
