It will continue to thrive because those with power to change it also know that corruption is THE pillar. Any reform (beyond the cosmetic and performative) will bring the entire system down.

Hundreds of protesters gathered in the city’s Dam Square, amidst a large police presence, there to quash the demonstration. Police in riot gear intervened against protesters in the afternoon, detaining dozens, who were later taken into buses and transported to another location in the city.
