Interesting. The Minister of the Presidency, @khadarlooge stated, "Somaliland has returned to the international stage." DP World regularly invites Somaliland to major conferences in its country, including the recent COP28 Climate Summit and the 2024 Government Summit, where Somaliland was represented at both ministerial and director levels. However, the real milestone is that, this time, the President himself attended and delivered a meaningful speech at a forum we had previously participated in (Not a new Stage). Overhyping routine events only raises questions about one's sincerity and realism.
Somaliland is back to the global stages, offering strategic investment opportunities and leveraging its prime location near the Red Sea and Bab-el-Mandeb Strait. With a stable political environment and ambitious infrastructure projects like the DP World-developed Berbera Port, Somaliland is positioning itself as a vital trade hub for East Africa. Its untapped potential in agriculture, fisheries, and livestock presents further avenues for growth. Now is the time for investors to join Somaliland on its path toward economic transformation and global engagement.
