We're now 18+ months into this Parliament and still the forces that must offer an alternative to the Tories aren't getting their act together. @UKLabour, @libdems and @TheGreenParty must cooperate in some form, or @BorisJohnson & co will dismantle our democracy.

Apologies to all my friends in environmental NGOs, but I felt this needed saying. Env reality has been known for years, but politicians still feel able to do wrong things. How is this still politically feasible?

@GarethOW_LibDem @LibDems No, but that's precisely the point of the letter. We need to be different to Labour as well as the Conservaties. Being anti-Tory, as we appear to be now, is not enough.

We need to listen to those who are genuinely willing to hear and think about both sides in the #Israel #Gaza conflict. This article is well worth reading.

3/3 I have defended Djokovic and explained his thinking more than any other international journalist has, and will continue to do so where I think it’s fair. I believe it’s wrong he was not allowed to compete at Aus and US Open 2022, and have said so.

2/3 My paper is available from @WimbledonMuseum library. You can read it (17 pages) and disagree with its model and workings, but respectfully, please. It is subjective, and if you want to go only by the stats, Djokovic is the most successful. That is clear.

1/3 Folks, this was a bit of fun at the end of a conference, based on exploring if ‘the greatest’ goes beyond stats. Of course Djokovic is the most successful, but is that the same as ‘the greatest’? Maybe yes, but are there other factors? It’s a debate!
