but thank you to the best team in the world for my gorgeous flowers and spot-on card 💕 excited for my new adventure to start at

Audio next week, a time when we need audio more than ever.
Hey book publicists, please take your jobs super seriously! I am on a major prize committee & we keep noticing MAJOR books missing! Like books that could have won a lifechanging prize. Now it is too late. This is incredibly scary & I hope editors keep an eye on this.
Fab interview in

Just had a bit of a pinch-me moment remembering I work at
@PenguinUKBooks
, when just 5 years ago I didn’t even know that publishing was a real option for me as a job. Anyway, tomorrow I’m off to
@BBCWomansHour
and continuing to live the dream.
Also please BBC, I am begging you, do not make another series of Normal People. Some things are perfect just as they are and do not need to be extended just because they are popular. Let it be.
Hi guys it’s
#BringYourDogToWork
day but unfortunately the pup lives in Leeds so she wasn’t able to make it in today. She did send me this update though, ready for the day ahead.
Will she let the light in or succumb to the dark?
From the bestselling author of the Tearling series comes a dark and sumptuous retelling of the classic Nutcracker tale that is filled with betrayal and bitter sibling rivalry.

I'm willing to forgive everyone who's ever called me Rose in an email this morning... my wrath is now going to the guy who has called me Chole three times.
This is a massively important article and I'm glad that the industry is finally paying attention to the dire need of publishing to really step-up and consider the impact of low pay and poor salary transparency. Thanks to
@thebookseller
and
@neevkm
for all your hard work on this.
Publishing "treats pay like a dirty word", say industry staffers, as some say without the financial support of a partner, being able to rely on their parents, or fitting into a white, middle-class demographic that publishing wouldn't be possible: (£)
me waiting hopefully for the postman to bring me a Sally Rooney proof, but also knowing it's impossible because no-one from
@FaberBooks
has asked for my address...
there are not enough hours in the day or week to read all the books, and the papers, and the magazines, and the online articles, or listen to all the radio, and the podcasts, or watch all the films, and the tv that i seriously need in my life.
Five years of PubInterns and now we have 10k followers... my final-year-student-desperate-to-get-into-publishing self from 2016 would be mind blown at seeing herself five years later.
My 92 year old grandpa’s care home is on lockdown (good), but this does mean that he has learnt how to FaceTime us directly, which for him is amazing to keep in contact with us (and at 92 as well!) 🤗
I am so angry and sad and tired of this. We lost my grandpa last week. He was 93 but he had *so* much more to give and more life to live. It wasn’t his time and the virus stole him from us. It was an unnecessary death, it could’ve been prevented and I could’ve hugged him again.

that government “did everything” they could to “minimise suffering and loss of life” during the pandemic and he continues to urge people to follow the guidance.

I’m so excited to be working on this, Nikita is a force of nature and a total inspiration. And her poetry is bloody brilliant.
Coming to all good bookshops this September ✨
My new book, Great Goddesses, a book of narrative poetry which retells Greek Mythology from the perspective of the Goddesses, monsters and mortal women, is published by

Publishing should be better than this. This is really disappointing and there are better ways to honour Caroline’s life and make a statement about cyber bullying.
We don’t always need to be first. We can afford to be a little more thoughtful.
every year on GCSE results day, I like to remind myself of my dramatic peak, when I put myself to bed for the day for the very disgrace of ONLY getting 3 A*s and 7As

2020 proved we can do remote working - in 2021 and looking ahead, let's see more remote working across the country to allow for a more diverse, non-London-centric industry.
Hello The F**K IT List! Extremely excited about this one, coming in April... after all, who needs a man to have a baby?
(sorry to my husband, you are great and i love you very much)
Lockdown birthday 2.0 🥳 certainly wasn’t expecting to be here again when this all started, but lockdown birthdays certainly make you appreciate the pleasure in the small but important things like sun, family, and glass of wine 💕
Whilst clearing out my childhood bedroom, in what can only be described as peak me, I found a letter of complaint to the Sunday Times because the children’s section, the Funday Times, had ceased printing.
So excited that finished copies of The End of the World Survivors Club have landed! 💪🏽 I’m giving away 5 copies, just RT and comment below to enter. Will pick the winners Tuesday 25/06. 🏃♀️🏃🏽♂️

Books create belonging. They help us see each other, and understand one another. That's why every young person should have the chance to study books reflecting the racial diversity of UK society. This is how we want to contribute to that vision.

The best part is that you are actually doing your job properly. Your job is to consider the work put in front of you and make an assessment over whether it's something you want to represent. You have done that.
Hi
@OneworldNews
- over on our
@pubinterns
account, my friend
@EmmaStokesss
asked if you pay your interns and your response was to block us. I think that's pretty disappointing, but not unexpected if you won't even pay your interns.
Hi all, did you know that has a Movers and Shakers section for Audible? And did you know that Shagged, Married, Annoyed by

Have to say that
@jet2tweets
have been brilliant in cancelling my flight promptly, with clear emails and options, and a quick refund. Been great service from a great airline.
So. I use my Twitter a lot for work. I have exciting news coming up. I won’t be able to take part in the below due to this.
But rest assured, I stand by my community, and I’m here to tell you that Twitter has become an increasingly dangerous and terrifying place to be who I am.
I know it’s probably not considered ‘cool’ to be emotional at the
#FriendsReunion
but this cast, this chemistry, and these memories? It’s pretty special.
@hamzajahanzeb
Also, not to be a major downer because it is filled with lovely people, but is it a 'lovely' industry? It undervalues its staff, it's not very diverse, it often puts profit over all the things it says it values. We need to recognise that this industry is actually an industry.
