I am tired of hearing we “can’t do anything because of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms”. That’s false. There is no right to blockade a street. There is no right to chant racist obscenities at other citizens. Stop using the Charter as an excuse for inaction.

These aren’t peaceful protests. These blockades are spreading hate and disrupting the lives of residents and small businesses. What’s the point of having laws if they aren’t enforced.
1/4 I spoke with Beltline residents & businesses this morning. I was in the Beltline this afternoon. The weekly disruption this community faces is not a “protest”. It’s a parade. At Central Memorial Park, it’s a festival with merch & food vendors. Yet no permits or licenses.
