Trump capitulated to the stock markets's demand. Plain and simple! Canada's plan was announced a month back which leaves the logical conclusion that Trump panicked after he saw what the market did. He even made time to speak to Trudeau at 3PM before the market closed. There was also dedicated rebranding of the 'trade war' as Trump put it to 'drug war' to remove any association of money. What a joke! Shortest duration for tariff ever.
