Time to complete my migration to kinder skies which may motivate always be blue, but the clouds are weathered by supportive surroundings. I will not be checking replies- hope to find some of you soaring sky high, wings fully stretched.#edutwitter

Absolutely. CPD used to be about this- review and adjustments of SoW to ensure uniform provision for all learners. Now CPDs are about OfSTED egos.
It is impossible to plan lessons (ppts, questions) from scratch every day. Publishers will spend *a long time* writing lesson material for a single lesson, let alone making five a day after a full day of working. If you're planning from scratch - that's a school problem.

Including....Chemistry (a Science subject!)???
Weโre consulting on the continued use of formulae and equation sheets in 2025, 2026 and 2027. This follows @educationgovukโs decision that students donโt need to memorise formulae and equations for GCSE maths, physics and combined science.

@edutwitter Birds migrate when conditions become unfavourable for survival. This "bird" is migrating to bluer skies. Perhaps the toxicity will be cleaned up in the ghost town.๐

And he gave this homeland such a kind & loving daughter.
Iโd like to talk about my Dad. He came to England from India at age 17. He had a brutal childhood- heโs refused to talk us kids about it but part of his childhood involved living on the streets as a child in India Coming to England saved his life. Literally. He has worked - shop keeper, then taxi driver & has contributed to tax his whole life here. He refused to charge people for his taxi service when they visited hospitals, students who felt unsafe walking at night etc. He worked 7 days a week, and we lived month to month. My Mum, at the age of 64, still works full time as an insurance broker & has also paid tax her entire working life. My Dad retired at the age of 70 during the pandemic as he was diagnosed with cancer. Thankfully heโs currently in remission ๐ As soon as he was given the โall clearโ he could finally pursue his dream - to feed those in need. At the age of 70 he asked my Mum to teach him how to cook. Every Tuesday he buys food to feed about 100/200 homeless people a week. He wakes up at 3am every Wednesday to cook the food, package & distribute it with a team of volunteers who also provide them warm clothing, cut their hair etc with nothing but love. The volunteers are from all backgrounds, all colours, all ethnicities as are the people they serve. He is the kindest, most compassionate person I know. To have people judge him based on the colour of his skin breaks my heart beyond measure.

I have been agonising about this. Never thought I will re-live the trauma of the dark times in the 70s. My kids go out to work doing their best to serve their community & I am terrified about their safety. Thank you @doctor_oxford for the voice of humanity and hope.
For as long as the Farages, Tices, Robinsons, Tates, Bravermans, Andersons & Musks use X to spread hostility, foulness, racism & hate - I will try to stay. Because most people, most of the time, try their best to be good. There is so much decency & kindness on here - still ๐
