@AnfieldSector Yeah, he shat the bed today, which is disappointing because he showed promise in his recent games.

@ReginaDo They should enshrine neutrality in the constitution, which most ppl want, only then remove the triple lock and properly fund the defence forces. Forgive me for not trusting FFFG with removing this, then throwing us into EU defence pacts and NATO, which they clearly want to do.

@Independent_ie He's elected now and relatively safe for 5 years, no doubt he'll be looking at an EU job after that, so he couldn't care less.

@caulmick He's some spoofer, housing and homelessness was the resounding core issue for voters according to the exit poll with 28%. He just lies, blames SF, and is allowed to get away with it. Throws his rattle at the suggestion of accountability.

@caulmick @IrishMailSunday Demotion, and he's just given another ministry. No doubt he'll be demoted from transport in five years time, probably to Taoiseach or Tanaiste.

@paddycosgrave There is no end to what Micheal Martin will do to please the EU, I'd wager he has his eye on a role there after this govt has run it's course. The same man has been involved in most govts for 25 years, that has never had an interest in defence until now.

@Lea_EFC Two charity shields ffs, that barrel is being scraped now if he's bigging those up as successes.

@caulmick @OCallaghanCian The arrogance is astounding, he must think the halcyon days of FF are back when he's accusing other parties who've never been in power of offering nothing. Whilst forgetting a FF minister has overseen the worst housing crisis in the states history.

@AnfieldRd96 I would have liked us to strengthen in one or two areas, but injuries haven't been as bad this season, so we can cope. Disappointed the contracts haven't been sorted out, makes me believe the theory two have signed and hasn't been announced to keep pressure off the third.

@stehoare Ideally, a decision similar to our pen yesterday but pulled back for an Arsenal offside or something, really wind that insufferable fan base up.

@caulmick Of course they were, but it doesn't matter. A huge number of FFFGs voters are older, have homes, and simply aren't impacted by it. That's who returned them and allowed them to form a govt, I hope younger voters remember this as they age and not repeat the mistakes of the past.

@caulmick @MaireadMOD I know FF fear SF, but he does know it was all genuine opposition are against this, not just SF? Likewise, he fails to grasp the difference between using your mandate to negotiate a pfg and ministerial jobs for RIG, with using your mandate to oppose govt, its one or the other ffs

@AnfieldSector @LewisSteele_ Cool, and in the summer it'll change to something along the lines of, 'we're open to a deal, but only where there's value.' We need to be more proactive with transfers and refreshing the squad.

@MaryLouMcDonald I mean, we all knew once a Taoiseach was elected and could form a government, they'd row back on any agreements. They have everything they came for now.

@AnfieldEdition It was a nothing game, disappointing to lose, but it gave us the opportunity to rest players ahead of a tough run of fixtures, as well as minutes to fringe players. A win-win for me at a crucial part of the season.

@Tactical_Times I'm still cautious about his fitness holding up to the intensity of the Premier league, but there's no doubting his skill or effort. He's definitely playing himself into the conversation with his recent displays.

@AnfieldWatch No doubting his effort, ran himself into the ground. If he keeps picking up minutes and even more importantly, no injuries, and he'll be the signing we hoped he'd be.

@BradyAlan101 I think they'll be one of the few teams who will actually try to play us this season. I'm looking forward to it, should be a good game
