@jack_kooreman Only if we get caught out with a random heavy downpour. Only putting enough out that'll get cleared between feeds helps keep appetites keen and waste to an absolute minimum.

@jack_kooreman They are fed so that they leave clean plates, if we roofed the feed bunk and not the bedding area they'd lie in the way. This way they go lie in the straw'd area ruminating and converting efficiently. While they are eating we can make the beds up behind them over their backs.

The consumer trend of meat reducing has plateaued and is falling in some countries. 1. America: flexitarians have fallen from 18% of consumers to 12% over the last four years. 2. Sweden: 24% of people claimed to have increased their consumption of meat in 2024. 3. Beef sales are up. 4. Thanks to social media, consumers are learning about the value of nutrient density and protein quality. It was an investor-made myth that there was going to be a "protein transition" and declining consumption of animal protein. That myth is shattered.
