@Results_Period Hard agree. But coaches that are coaches know this. In many ways an s&c has morphed into another role that is not a coach. It’s an exercise prescriber.

@mboyle1959 @BooSchex @SimpliFaster Then they aren’t learning. They are consuming fragments of a whole picture. Even here it seems it’s all about consuming- it takes me about 2-3 hours to read one article and digest it… let alone use a new idea with a paying athlete..

@mboyle1959 @BooSchex @SimpliFaster I’ll be honest - I learned the bulk of what I know between 2000 and 2012 before social media. I did all the perform betters, NSCA, all of RKC etc. I studied under great track coaches, Olympic lifters and power lifters. I learn how to analyze sport.

@SandCResearch Ok but the eccentric phase from what I understand recruiter fewer. So the stress on those working is higher. Is it that they are stronger or just fewer are doing more work?

@Fred__Duncan I have - wayyyy back at Uni. It changes the strength curve right? Much better than bands and chains imo because it saves time!

@Fred__Duncan Interesting as mine love it. You get big loads with zero soreness. It’s because there is no sudden increase in eccentric stress - no free fall to brake phase. It’s great for hypertrophy too.
