I took this down as my pinned tweet because I thought we were passing the time when masks are so obviously sensible, such that we can conclude that anyone not masking is probably also ignoring other food safety practices. But we are back.
PSA: Take the opportunity to check out the masking behavior anywhere you might want to later get food. If they do it badly -- whether due to bad management, indifference, or some adolescent freedumb thing -- eating there is much more likely to make you sick post-pandemic.

@MarewaGlover Hi, Marewa. Thanks. That means a lot. It has been really rough, but I think I am ok. Well, functionally maybe 10 years older in a sense, but able to do most things. I will prioritize finding your communications and answering any that are still relevant.

I am many many years older than that and I recently returned Pig (2021) to the library without finishing it because I couldnât stand even the possibility of what this child is about to experience.
9-yr-old son: Itâs called WHERE THE RED FERN GROWS. Itâs about this boy and his two red dogs. Itâs a fun story! I have two chapters left. Donât tell me how it ends!

Interesting thread on damage the âpeer reviewâ system does to human knowledge, censoring unique useful information effectively BECAUSE of its uniqueness. (This just resurfaced because the topic is monkeypox, something that would perhaps be useful to have more info about)
