I recently spoke with @william_r_kerr on the @HarvardHBS #ManagingTheFutureofWork podcast about why smart companies and 13 states (and counting) are committing to skills-based hiring and tearing the paper ceiling to tap into the STARs talent pool. STARs = the 50% of U.S. workers skilled through alternative routes vs. a bachelor's degree.
