@StephenABoydPh1 Thank you! Like anything worthwhile, it took a lot of people, and it wasn't done overnight, but it's great to see the finished product.

@NateTechFuture Hi Nathan. One can determine the type of Cl coordination (terminal, bridging, or ionic), local geometry, Cl bond character, presence/rough strength of hydrogen bonding, etc. It can also investigate phase transitions and help identify reaction products, among other applications.

Using a variety of techniques, including NMR, XRD, cryo electron microscopy, and quantum chemical calculations, it was possible to understand and monitor the two routes of how this metal-organic framework reacts with water. The solvent in the as-made MOF plays an important role!
Our newest open-access work "Understanding Water Reaction Pathways to Control the Hydrolytic Reactivity of a Zn Metal-Organic Framework" is now published in @NatureComms . NMR, cryo-EM, and more! Thanks to @NationalMagLab and all authors. Check it out at

You can pre-order this bad boy! It'll be the perfect gift for that NMR spectroscopist in your life, just in time for the holidays. Don't delay, act now! #NMRchat @nmr900
I have a LOT more respect for editors and authors of book chapters after this recent endeavour. Let's just say that if you like solid-state NMR of MOFs and COFs, boy, do we have a page-turner in store for you soon...
