Defend the Valley, an old mantra from the 90s that needed dusted off and brought back into coherence. A calling card. A point of pride. An attitude β one where we respect all but fear none. The βrespect allβ part starts in our building β with our teachers, our class work, our peer-to-peer relationships, and the way we take care of our space(s). See a piece of trash on the floor? Pick it up. See an Oriole in need? Help them out. Make a mistake? Work to remedy it. A lot of people want to make an impact in the world. Thatβs great, but letβs start in our own backyard. Respect becomes maybe more important at an away game, at the movie theater, in a restaurant, or on a field trip because many people wear the Avon brand on their chest. While good news travels fast, bad news travels faster. You are Avon (the Valley) wherever you go. Represent the Valley well. I represent you. You represent me. That should carry some weight. The second part β the βfear noneβ piece β is just about being a relentless competitor. We cannot control winning or losing, but we can control how we compete. Compete in a way that is impossible not to notice. Play hard. Be composed. Donβt play scared. Scrape, fight, and claw every minute you are in the limelight. People like that are hard to forget and make positive impacts on the programs they are a part of. They win more than they lose, too. Avon is a special place with special people. They both should be worth defending. Defend the Valley! #DTV π΄ββ οΈ

Bridge the Gap: πͺπΌ1οΈβ£1οΈβ£2οΈβ£π¨ A lot of data points today, and while I havenβt graphed them out yet, collectively, they will look something like this: β‘οΈ. Great day of work and improvement today for many Orioles. Some laid eggs, sure. It happens. Never seen a day of 100% PRs with class loads like we have, but even those who didnβt hit their previous best were in the ballpark and β in many cases β improved in the average department. 112 days down. Looking forward to 113. #TPW | #DBS π¨ Defend the Valley! #DTV π΄ββ οΈ

Bridge the Gap: πͺπΌ1οΈβ£1οΈβ£1οΈβ£π¨ Different setup in EliteForm for bench press today. Canβt talk about being consistently inconsistent and start being predictable. It was a nice shakeup and gave us some ideas for how we can program other lifts in the upcoming weeks. Have a great idea for squat. Stay tuned for next week. Speed tomorrow. Timing on a hard surface, not the turf. Bring the after-burners!π¨ #TPW | #DBS π¨ Defend the Valley! #DTV π΄ββ οΈ
