Super proud to announce the lab's first data paper: In collaboration with @brian_macvicar, we developed an in vitro model of microglial priming and tolerance and showed the switch between these two states depends on how microglia engage glycolysis.

You have to find your allies as a PI to have a drink with at the end of a tough week. But at the end the best sense of community and success is with your trainees’ successes.
I love being a PI, but this job comes with a sense of loneliness I never felt as a student or postdoc. I am thankful for my support system of family, mentors, and colleagues, but no one can fully understand the daily challenges. I’m pretty sure this is normal, just unexpected.
