Woman just murdered at quick trip. Homeless person executed downtown. Streets left unplowed and covered with ice for a month. And the list goes on… No, STL is not safe for your grandchild but it has nothing to do with the state legislature.
I'll never forget getting an email from a grandmother asking me if it was safe for her transgender grandchild to come to St. Louis for a concert. Anti-trans legislation at the state level in Missouri made her scared for her baby's safety. I oppose these bills #moleg

My big January 2025 takeaway: Cancel Culture has become bullying on a societal scale. Instead of directly addressing disagreements or mistakes, it seeks to isolate and ostracize individuals by rallying others to end their relationships, associations, or support. It’s not just about disagreeing with someone—it’s about ensuring everyone else disagrees with them too. Imagine a personal disagreement where, instead of resolving the issue or moving on, one person demands that everyone else cut ties with the other. It’s not just petty—it’s destructive. Cancel culture takes this playground tactic to the public sphere—mostly through social media and the internet—ruining careers, reputations, and lives in the process. True accountability doesn’t require turning someone into a pariah. Growth comes from dialogue, understanding, and the willingness to offer second chances when appropriate. When we focus on canceling instead of connecting, we lose the opportunity to heal and move forward as a society.
