While it's understandable that creators need to monetize themselves... Charging such an exorbitant amount for a literal dm seems to be a clear indication that some creators have lost sight of the value of their fans and the community they've built.

People think short-form video platforms like TikTok are diminishing long-form content. Yet Joe Rogan is the top podcaster in the world and has 2-3 hour episodes. Attention spans aren't decreasing. The bar for quality content is just increasing.
