@dpzmusic rock music is also how lots of ppl learn guitar (eg. back in black by ac/dc or smells like teen spirit by nirvana) i don't know the specifics of your exact situation, but hopefully this helps. other than that, it just takes time and developing calluses to nullify the pain

6 music advice you should NEVER listen to: 1. learning music theory will stifle your creativity 2. auto-tune makes ANYONE sound good 3. using loops is cheating 4. don't use splice samples 5. analog is always better than digital 6. certain musical genres are objectively better
Watch out for the art “mentors” out there that love to give bad advice on purpose...

@SoundCirclet 100%. honestly, my best memories of music school have to do with all the cool musicians i met/played with and the opportunities/extracurriculars outside of classes. i still work with some of those ppl to this day
