After having a little time to reflect, I wanted to express my heartfelt congratulations to @athielen19 and @cjham28 for their recent 2024 Walter Payton Man of the Year Award nominations, you are both highly deserving of this recognition even though I know neither of you ever seek it out. To me, this award is significantly more important than anything either of you will ever do on the football field. You're both NFL Pro Bowlers, but this is what really matters in this world. To be nominated by your respective teams speaks volumes about the character you both display on a daily basis and It has been the truest honor for me to have a front row seat for everything you have both done for your communities, not just this season, but for your entire careers. Your wives, your families, your support system, you are everything that is great about professional sports. You are helping so many different people in so many different ways. You inspire me in more ways than you will ever know. There is so much work that is being done behind-the-scenes by the both of you and your amazing wives, @MRS_T_19 and @StephHamDPT and beautiful families. I can speak for everyone at @teamifa when I say that we are all so incredibly PROUD of all of you! You have left a lasting legacy on the communities in North Carolina, Minnesotaand beyond, with all of them being better places than you found them because of your spirit, your kindness, your service and your effort. Love you all

Sure. But when you start an entire race out 400 years behind the eight ball, how do you suggest they catch up? You realize the civil rights movement was 60 years ago correct? If you run a marathon and start at mile 24 and everyone else starts at the beginning, how do you envision they catch up? Stop saying DEI is the problem and focus on solutions. Thats what leaders do

My heart goes out to all of the families impacted in this horrific incident. To not have your family and loved ones because of something senseless is unimaginable. I would never be able to cope nor understand. Without knowing anything and just using my common sense and intuition, there is no way this was an accident. I hope I’m wrong. But a Blackhawk military helicopter doesn’t accidentally crash into a commercial airplane. Not from a technology standpoint, a systems standpoint, a checks and balances standpoint, a preparation and anticipation standpoint, amongst a million other reasons. It just doesn’t happen. So what did happen? I don’t know. Maybe someone wanted to end their life, make a point, not be in the right mental space to cope, just melted down. That makes sense to me. Agreement or disagreement is irrelevant, what makes sense does. Which I actually get, what I don’t get and will never understand, is when our own kills our own, it’s not called terrorism, because we as a society and our media identify through fiction of what a terrorist should look like. When it’s a middle aged white male (which I have zero idea whether it was or wasn’t) it’s an accident or a mental illness. Terrorism doesn’t have a race, religion, ethnicity, or an identity. It’s terrorism. I hate that this happened, but I would be lying to you if I said I was surprised. We have created an environment where far too many people have nothing to lose. I’m so sorry to those affected, it hurts my heart. I have no clue or facts to know if what I think is correct, but one of them makes sense and one of them doesn’t. Love to all

Doing something because, “that’s the way we’ve always done it” is the direct enemy of progress. We need to always be honest and check-in with ourselves by asking, “is this still the best way to do it?” Progress is supposed to be a little uncomfortable sometimes.

@AndrewBrandt They still have the collective Dollars. There’s certainly more partiy now, but top schools with the biggest donors willing to continue to fund will still have an advantage. Or whichever schools gets smartest the quickest on how to generate those dollars.
