Says the man who helped block highly qualified women candidates in 2017. Then, sought a second 5 year term. Delaying by 10 long yrs the ascension of the first woman to the position.
He is sorry not sorry.
I am sorry to see that despite years of talk, gender inequality is on full display at the
#UNGA
General Debate.
Less than 10% of speakers this week are women.
This is unacceptable – especially when we know gender equality delivers for peace, climate action and much more.

It is even worse policy when you impose tariffs on an allied country with which you have manufacturing integrated supply chains.
