I know I will catch flack for this. I’d rather hear this come from someone who does not already have exclusive advantages in recruiting. Their resident spot with ESPN programming and advertising and relationship with USA basketball is not something that is fair across the board.

I’d rather see more AAU games... It has done wonders for many kids and coaches. We had 6 total days to evaluate AAU events this year. It’s unfair that all of student athletes don’t get the same opportunities to be evaluated. People forgot that AAU at least provided that.
USA basketball training camp and the Top 100 Camp doesn’t help us much!

I woke up this morning to my Tidal randomly playing Jay-Z “This Can’t be Life”. Fitting.... can’t believe this bad dream hasn’t ended yet. We spoke about 3/15/20 all year. The reward of a long grinding summer, fall and winter was supposed to be a tournament bid. SMH.

One cannot separate mental health issues with the rest of their life. The two go hand in hand. I thought two of my friends were the happiest people I’d ever known. Both committed suicide unexpectedly. No one ever assumed or knew that they were dealing with mental health issues.

It’ll be hard not seeing Coach Boylan on the bus again or talking with him after a team meal. Those were MY most memorable moments with him. He was thoughtful, kind, wise, smart and one of the greatest storytellers ever. He was a special human. He will be greatly missed!!!

NOW at 8!!! My 10 yr old son understands it. I’m trying to teach him to think before reacting, weigh consequences of his actions and try to think for those who may fear him because of the color of his skin. That’s a lot for a 10 yr old to process but it’s a necessary convo!!!

I don’t think we need to be highly critical yet, but I’d rather see more AAU than high school games in the summer.
I’m all for criticizing the new recruiting calendar ...once it actually plays out. So far, not much to complain about. Most coached like idea of June high school events and this week was good with Peach Jam and plenty within driving distance. How about we evaluate at end of July?
