A fortnight ago The Times splashed the story saying that assisted dying campaigners were looking at dropping the High Court judge requirement It was met with an outright, on the record denial from Kim Leadbeater's spokesman The briefings privately from Leadbeater's office were even harder - they said there was 'no way' the bill would drop the requirement for a judge to sign off an assisted death It turned out - as we see today - that the story was entirely correct The response from Leadbeater's office to The Times's splash was at best highly misleading. I've attached it below It's certainly no way to do comms on such a sensitive and significant issue

@brianmanzella Brian, that's blown me away - the chops but also you're not chasing it at all. Sign of a proper drummer. That's fantastic. Also kudos for the pre-McDonald Doobie era choice 😁

@codeopinion Use both. MediatR for in-process, NServiceBus when async/eventual makes sense.

@Aaronontheweb @alkapa Absolutely. Careful you don't end up creating a framework though. You'll end up need an .io domain name and VC funding if you're not careful..

@Aaronontheweb @alkapa Awesome. That sounds very similar to some local dev setups we have. And it's SO nice to work with compared to gate-kept PaaS, Gitops and K8s that we deploy to. I get that large orgs need to centralize to scale.. but it's just so cumbersome.

@Aaronontheweb @alkapa Nice! That sounds like a great setup to make lots of things a lot easier. Speaking as a large software org employee, it makes me a little jealous, I'll be honest.

@Aaronontheweb @alkapa If you can solve family problems with Docker and JSON, everything else is a breeze...

@Aaronontheweb @alkapa Yeah it's one stop shop. With a really nice management UI. And you can export configuration that you've developed locally and import them to prod/staging/wherever. Just two features an idiot like me appreciates anyway πŸ˜‚

You’re genuinely hilarious @GNev2 πŸ˜‚ Imagine trying to act impartial but end up hating Liverpool so much that you predict, of all teams, fucking Tottenham, to get past Liverpool in a semi-final at Anfield! πŸ˜‚

@ICooper @Aaronontheweb I'll say this; I've found it to be mostly a "better than Google". And I've definitely benefited from it. But, quite simply, you can't trust it. As long as you understand that, I think it's a decent tool.
