@t3dotgg I don't feel offended by one developer who finds it literally more "joyful" to write plain JS. Isn't the idea behind creating an inclusive tech community about listening to each other and creating a safe place where opinions are respected? People bashing and ignoring seems harsh.

@mattpocockuk If a team cannot directly switch to "strict" mode, I suggest gradually enabling individual type checking features like "noImplicitAny" or "strictNullChecks." This allows for incremental adoption of a safer codebase when transitioning from legacy JavaScript to TypeScript. π.

It's my birthday today! π₯³π Since I can't share my cake with all of you, I decided to share a new tutorial on the exciting things you can do with @typescript and TypeChat: π Let me know what you would build with it!.

@kentcdodds Bold statements without additional information prompt people to comment for more details. This sparks heated debates, increases user activity, and ultimately makes the X algorithm favor you. Well done, Kent. π.

@MylesBorins @nodejs Another vote for @nestframework! I really like their documentation mix of presenting their framework but also teaching fundamental concepts like dependency injection and caching techniques. 1 for it being written in TypeScript and +1 for their website's π menu.

@kentcdodds As a tech authority with a massive following of 260K, your words hold weight. Calling monorepos the "absolute worst" undermines, in my opinion, the efforts of teams behind tools like Lerna, Nx, Turbo & Co.

Thanks @nikolasburk for highlighting that @prisma returns typed results that only contain the properties which have been selected. Major difference to the behavior of @typeormjs. #PrismaDay

This feels like it was only yesterday, I'm still not fully healed but it's getting better every day!. Remember Twitter fam, look after your eyes! ποΈβ₯οΈ.
Hello Twitter fam. I'm currently facing one of the toughest challenges in my life. Dealing with retinal detachment in both eyes and needing multiple emergency surgeries. So, if I'm a bit slow in replying, that's why. Remember, your health is paramount! π

Building native apps with @reactnative, @expo and TypeScript is so much fun! π Write once, run everywhere. β¨οΈ.
Added on-device caching to one of my favorite client's @reactnative / @expo app. I was using @tan_stack's react query. I just followed the doc in the thread to use react query with async storage to cache every request. It was super simple and the final result is amazing!π₯
