Must be pure coincidence that every customer-facing AI service is low-qual junk

I was so wrong about Edge. Enterprises just don’t seem to want it

Once a major initiative from the cable company, Cox Edge has been folded into the carrier's private networks business – another signal that edge computing continues to struggle.

I had a pal tell me his Ekahau rep was pushing continuous. The rep said he’d get ‘more data points’ Who the heck cares about data points if it’s all trash data? When you’re moving you’re not getting signal data that relates to real-world portable client devices (laptops, et al.)

For narrow applications there's no denying the benefit of AI. For example, Wi-Fi channel planning is essentially extinct because auto-channel planning does a good enough job

If you're going to compare AI to the Internet, at least understand that the fundamentals are completely different People have flocked to mass communication technology since the beginning of time, and have always embraced new/faster/cheaper methods Task automation (which is what AI is hoping to be) has been attempted millions of times over thousands of years without ever reaching a quality level beyond 'good enough, but not as good as manual labor'

...for now. Would expect Net Neut to be taken up at some point in the near future, especially if service providers overstep their bounds

It appears X/Twitter has beefed up its Data Loss Prevention (DLP) capabilities DLP auto-blocks/deletes content, recognized by fingerprint. In this case someone posted a clip of a movie audience reacting to the Jurassic World Rebirth trailer, and it was completely un-existed

More wireless spectrum is expected to be opened up in 3 GHz, but not for Wi-Fi @mikeddano mentions the effect this could have on FWA v. Broadband competition. Not sure if it will help telcos’ efforts to get private 5G into the enterprise alongside Wi-Fi
