@rorymeakin @seanpaulday I can't comment on what legal authority or advice other councils are choosing to act under. All I can say is there is clear advice from our highly experienced legal experts that we do not have enforcement powers in the City. Hence why we're exploring every other avenue.

@rorymeakin @seanpaulday Currently, the Corporation has no legal enforcement powers, so have been lobbying parliament. There's also a pan-London working group to look at licensing contracts with specific clauses on expected behaviour and implications. The article talks about the company's plans to users.

At the @cityoflondon's Natural Environment Board dinner last night, we heard from @JamesAsser how important our green spaces are to the communities they serve. Former West Ham captain Mark Noble explained that to him growing up in an urban environment, it meant he could be free.

@ClivePower @cityoflondon Oh Clive, we shall have to agree to disagree I'm afraid. I haven't been a member of any political party for about 15 years. It's a joy to work with collaboratively with colleagues of all political persuasions on the issues that matter, rather than waste time on party politics.
