@sallymcmanus Is it true that to help ease the flooding in Queensland they turned all their kitchen taps on? As recommended previously by you

They wouldn’t be X-rayed, parts like that would be very hard to X-ray. The bar stock would be tested ultrasonically before machining for any abnormalities, all steel stock these days comes with heat certificates for batch tracking etc The bushes are likely heat treated post machining then maybe ground to finish. Then would be individually measured using part scanning or touch measuring tools. Still not $90k

@PalmguyActual @BovodioToad @DefiantLs If you bought the latest and greatest TV and the remote control went flat but had to buy OEM batteries that cost $500 dollars you think that’s fair?

@BovodioToad @DefiantLs Doesn’t matter, actual cost to make these parts would be less that $1000, but because warranty’s are voided for using other than OEM parts, they’ve got you over the coals

@BovodioToad @DefiantLs That’s BS. I used to make stuff like this and it’d be all CNC machined. Would take like 20 minutes to make. Even if every part of making these was high end it should cost no more than $2000

@lesstenny @sallymcmanus “Dealt with a lot of consultants in my time and they always write what the people that pay them want them to write” quite telling isn’t it…
