It is funny how 85+% of the time, I don’t wear makeup. And it’s not because I pass exceptionally well but rather because I’m more comfortable in my own skin and don’t need the “mask” of makeup or the wig I used to wear.
I was gonna finish this much earlier but the power came for like 30 mins and went out. I had to finish this with generator power. halp.

I first started HRT on a “trial” run. If it didn’t feel right, if I didn’t like it, I could stop and no one would be any the wiser.
But I felt an *instant* mental clarity and knew that I had to proceed with my transition.
did you know:
you can try estrogen and have no permanent effects on the body within the first few months.
brain chemicals work faster, you'll know pretty quickly if it feels right for you well before anything physical changes

my mom always wanted a daughter but had two sons instead. she had a hysterectomy several years ago and was really depressed for a while bc it meant she didn’t have more chances.
part of me hoped when I came out as trans that she’d be happy to have the daughter she always wanted

I don’t know what to do. I don’t know who the right Dem candidate is or isn’t, I don’t know how to wake people up to how terrible for *everyone* Trump is…I just don’t know.
I’m glad I have a valid passport but I dunno where I’d go or how I’d get there or what I’d do when I did.

I’m thankful to have found a church early in my transition that is supportive and affirming of all LGBTQIA+ individuals. It’s given me a loving community to lean on.
I also see why a trans person would leave Christianity altogether after being treated so terribly. It’s sad.

I have a friend - formerly one of my best friends, who I lived with for 2+ years until he got married in summer 2020, and who I’ve been close to for 19ish years - whose potential reaction to my transition scared me so much that I just…didn’t tell him. For more than 1.5 years.

Did this w/ my godson. For a long time we didn’t correct when he used “Uncle [deadname]” but his parents modeled. Then they would gently correct it for a bit, but it never stuck.
One day, his mom said “no, her name is Chelsea now” & that was that. Easy switch

and ya know what? When I told him…he reacted basically how I thought he would. I had already kinda accepted this was how he’d react, so it was a little easier to let him go.
Still really sucks though. Never feels good to lose a friend, especially one you previously held close.

I don’t know, if I had a lot more hair left, maybe he’d be pickier, but his website says electrolysis not required.
Haven’t done any electro at all yet, face or otherwise. Hoping to start that eventually, but laser has been mostly sufficient so far.

“well, my insurance covers bottom surgery but not FFS (because “cosmetic”), so I might as well go ahead and get that done, huh?”
so here I am looking at options for getting a consultation soon!
