We have an exciting opportunity funded by
@impetusgrants
to lead the development of an international classification & staging system for
#senescence
and
#aging
, for submission to the
@WHO
's
#ICD11
, based on our 2019 proposal published in Science.
🔬👵 How should ageing be classified? Thanks to the incredible support of
@impetusgrants
, we are working to answer this. On 19th February we will be holding our first consensus meeting with experts from around the world to define the criteria for an ageing-related pathology.
In an increasingly divided world,
@USUKFulbright
does an incredibly important job promoting collaboration and understanding. It was such an honour to attend the
@FulbrightPrgrm
orientation in London this week to learn about the exciting work everyone has planned in the US.
Completed my first Half Marathon yesterday. The cheers from the crowd (including from
@cardiffmet
) were far beyond anything I expected. It encapsulated the best of humanity for me: people coming together to push boundaries, selflessly supporting one another in the process.
After almost three-years in the making, I'm delighted to announce the first systematic review into countermeasures to Space Motion Sickness, co-authored with a talented and inspirational team of researchers in aerospace medicine & vestibular neuroscience:
❄️Excited to announce the launch of a new project to develop an online database for
#cryobiology
&
#cryogenics
research, which will provide researchers, engineers, and chemists with streamlined access to essential data on cryoprotective agents. More details coming soon!
🏗️ In progress at CryoDAO:
Cryoprotective Agent (CPA) Repository for Researchers and Medicinal Chemists 🧪
Led by
@bbentley_1
and contributions from the CryoDAO working groups, this database aims to provide the first of its kind searchable resource for CPAs. 🥶
