My salary is not ‘designed’ to meet a particular lifestyle. It’s a result a mutual agreement where both parties feel they benefit from the exchange. If the work gets done, whether from the moon, my bedroom or the office, why should anyone give a damn?
This minister is 100% right. If you want the continued benefit of working from home then don’t expect a salary that was designed for staffers commuting into the office.
