Alex Ovechkin needs 16 goals to pass Wayne Gretzky. The Capitals have 28 games remaining in the regular season. Ovi has 20 goals in his last 28 games. It’s totally possible it happens this season. (Thanks to @tangotiger for getting me to think about this in different ways.)

Craig Laughlin had his heart surgery today. His daughter said it was successful, and he’s on the road to recovery. Thoughts with Locker, and the backstory here:
