This argument about the qb needing to succeed in spite of the team around him is completely new to mvp discourse

@SportsBoyTony I said the same when they adjusted the contract last season. Chubb was forced to agree to it, they approached him well after free agency. If loyalty ran on both sides, they would’ve done it before FA and gave him a choice that benefitted the team and the player, not just the team
