Gina Slaby is the 2nd female finisher of the 2019 Badwater 135 and 9th overall, just two seconds behind 8th place. They were neck and neck from Badwater Basin. Finish time 29:26:45.
All runners have passed the 2nd timing checkpoint, at Stovepipe Wells / Mile 42, and are continuing up Towne Pass, the 5000 foot / 17-mile ascent which takes the runners out of Death Valley. There are now two withdrawals: Lori Chekal and Noora Alidina.

The 62-year-old was the 2nd woman in the legendary race from Death Valley's Badwater Basin to Mt. Whitney. She ran in 33:37:49, an age group record.
