@anthonychu_do @chrissyfarr I think this is an SF vs middle of the country difference. I remember talk about how much the state had spent on my medical education and now would not realize in terms of my contribution back to clinical practice/ the community. I've heard this from others as well...

@ALiS0NLAURA Hey friend! I schedule an hour in the morning to go though emails- I try to respond to quick ones, put ones I can delegate in a virtual assistant folder for her to respond to, and assign time blocks to projects that need more than a few minutes. I usually check again at EOD.

@DrNickColyvas @chrissyfarr @rleuty_biotech Ha! I’ll take what I can get! Thanks for sharing this. It looks l that there were 2 I/E programs in 2007 (the year I graduated med school incidentally) and now there are 13. Definitely trending in the right direction but 13 out of 158 is still 😞

@KennethMPeters1 @drrachelrubin @BeaumontUrology In addition to these important issues, assement of sexual function needs to be a routine part of clinical trials so that we don’t have to keep doing this retrospectively.

@Spreckels_Organ @chrissyfarr Mortality but nothing will change until we INVEST in women’s health as a country. We are currently talking out of both sides and will continue to watch things decline and women die until that changes

@byrondcrowe @chrissyfarr This has been my experience as well. Many colleagues genuinely want to know what I do all day. Exposure to these ideas and options is vital

@drgautamgulati @chrissyfarr This has not been my experience. Obviously there is a generational component, but wondering about a geographical one as well

@DrBonillaOnc @chrissyfarr And then leaving! Controlling and contributing meaningfully to our day/destiny is key to battling hopelessness and perceived helplessness for physicians. Any thoughts on this @RUBraveEnough ?

@DrNickColyvas @chrissyfarr @rleuty_biotech I agree that most of my friends would love to have another way to express their love of patients/medicine but have not been exposed to this open mindedness from a systemic level that you are referring to-maybe I’m too old (42)😂🤷🏼♀️. It certainly wasn’t the case for me

@halletecco @chrissyfarr Halle-totally hear you on this, but wouldn’t it be ideal having a physician in charge of solving exactly this issue? Who else knows more intimately why there is a shortage? What are the major burnout factors causing people to leave? Factors that deter them in the first place?
